The Knights in Business Directory was built to connect Brother Knights who need to Brother Knights who provide, all for the Glory of God.

In a January 23, 2009 speech, Supreme Knight Carl Anderson called for the summit and laid out a vision of what it could accomplish. “If greed – one of the worst aspects of human nature – helped push us into this crisis, then one of the best aspects of our nature – generosity – will be necessary to help pull us out of it,” Anderson declared.

As several members of society shifted their focus away from the Love of God and toward the greed of power, money, and wealth in their jobs, investments, and even their shopping habbits, the once booming business marketplace bursted into a global economic crisis. According to Anderson, this greed must be stopped with generosity.

When you go to your job, shop, or run errands, try to comprehend and accept the fact that for many trips, the environment is fast paced, lacks communal relationships for the Glory of God, and in many cases, filled with misery and anger. Often, decisions are centered around the dollar.

Knights in Business was created to connect Brother Knights who need to Brother Knights who provide. When you patronize your Brother, you can bring about change to this crisis. Why should you patronize your Brother, even if the world appears to be giving you a better "deal"? How can you be sure that the dollar you spend won't be spent on means which conflict with the teachings of the Church? How can you be certain that you are not fueling greed by constantly searching for the "lowest" prices?

You know that whenever you patronize your Brother Knight, regardless of how much money they ask for in return, you know that your dollar will be spent in ways that will bring about God's Kingdom. You know that your dollar will be spent to promote life over death. You know that your dollar will be spent to protect the dignity of the Sacrament of Matrimony. You know that your dollar will support the needs of the Church. How can you be sure? Your Brother Knights are generous, not greedy. Your Brother Knights do not worship money; they worship God as practicing Catholics, obedient to the teachings of the Church.

So, if we want to have the Kingdom of God prevail over an economic crisis, please consider patronizing your Brother Knights in business when you shop because it is through generosity that will help pull us out of the economic crisis.
