Color Corps

When knighthood was in flower, knights carried the sword to defend their God, their Church, their country and their fellow man according to the code of chivalry. Today, Sir Knights wear regalia and carry the sword to honor Christ and His apostles, especially on religious and civic occasions specified in this manual. Hence, the primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to encourage active Catholic citizenship and foster the spirit of patriotism in members and the community at large.

Any Third Degree Brother Knight in good standing who has been a member for at least six months may take their Fourth Degree and join the Color Corps ranks.

COLOR CORPS CALL OUTS: The following is a schedule of call outs in the area. Please note that these are not sponsored by the Temecula Valley Council and are subject to change. DATE FUNCTION TIME Sat 04/22/10 Youth Confirmation Mass, St. Catherine Church There will be a Color Corps call out at St. Catherine Church. Meet in the Social Hall at 6:30 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. Mass. 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in having a Color Corps Call Out for your religious function, please contact Padre Pio Assembly #2247 for more information. Call outs require permission from the pastor. The Color Corps is called out for any public religious function involving the Bishops of the Diocese of San Bernardino (excludes private celebrations) within Padre Pio Assembly. For Funeral Mass Call Outs, a full Call-Out is conducted only for deceased Sir Knights under the request of family members; a 3-member Call-Out is conducted for any deceased clergy and 3rd Degree Brother in good standing, under the request of family members.
